Seasons of Change

A great deal of excitement has taken place for me over the past several weeks. I recently became engaged and started planning a November 2008 wedding in New Jersey. I planned on relocating to St. Louis to start my life with my fiancé/husband after the wedding. However, a series of events have proven that my move to St. Louis will be taking place much sooner than I imagined.

Back in October I received a random e-mail from a headhunter in St. Louis about a position they were looking to fill. I read the e-mail out of curiosity and before too long, I had started the application process with Chamberlain. Four interviews and an on-line assessment later, I found out I was one of the top two candidates. I was delighted to hear this news; however, I honestly had no idea as to how all of this would play out, but I had a perfect peace either way. Last week I received a call and was offered the position at Chamberlain College of Nursing. God has truly orchestrated this blessing. This opportunity will allow me to continue my professional growth within the field of higher education, as I truly enjoy the reward of assisting students in pursing their passions. Not to mention it puts me in the same city as my honey. Woo-Hoo.

The school has approximately 500 students and I will be managing the admissions team of four admissions counselors and two support staff. I am very excited about this new journey that begins on Monday, December 10th.

So, my to-do list has grown and I'm feeling a wee-bit overwhelmed in having to plan for the holidays, transitioning into a new job, finding a place to live for the year in St. Louis, and keeping up with wedding preparations --- I could use all of your thoughts and prayers. BIG Smile. These are certainly exciting times for myself.

Friends and family, here's to yet another adventure in life's many seasons of change!
